Ayotte calls for passage of legislation to help fight drug addiction epidemic

WASHINGTON — Sen. Kelly Ayotte on Tuesday called for passage of the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act as a way to help fight the growing drug addiction epidemic.

She co-hosted a forum on Capitol Hill on the crisis with Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., Rob Portman, R-Ohio, and Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn.

Ayotte discussed the personal story of Doug and Pam Griffin of Newton, who lost their daughter, Courtney, to a heroin overdose, and talked about her conversations with first responders, health care providers and treatment specialists in New Hampshire.

Ayotte, a former attorney general has helped introduce the bipartisan Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act “to increase drug abuse prevention efforts, improve treatment for those with addiction, ensure law enforcement has greater access to the necessary tools to fight drug abuse, and better support individuals in recovery,” according to her office.

so in this bill there is one part that is going to have federal agencies suggesting to doctors what they should prescribe for their patients in PAIN. Then another part is treating law-abiding citizens like criminals.

Ayotte has gone off the deep end. She no longer represents the Granite State just like Shaheen.

“better support for individuals in recovery,” a little late aren’t you Kelly? I can remember when you sat back and watched DCYF and the Family Courts Court order new Mother’s out of Methadone treatment in order to regain custody of their ILLEGALLY stolen newborns. The Mother given less than a month to detox, court ordered into Medical detox, non existent in this State? As NH AG at the time, did you even have a clue as to the illegality of such an action? And when you were contacted by a Mother, do you remember what your office told her? “We don’t take complaints against DCYF. They work for us.” And do you have any clue as to what happened to that newborn baby girl? She was ILLEGALLY adopted, no thanks to you, and her father was never even contacted and later denied paternity testing and custody of his child.
