Cruz to New Hampshire

Yet another 2016 GOP hopeful is Granite State bound, with Texas Senator Ted Cruz set to headline a New Hampshire GOP fundraiser next month.

“Senator Ted Cruz is one of the most principled and exciting new leaders in the Republican Party. During his short time in the Senate he has already established himself as a leader in the fight to rein in President Obama’s liberal agenda and return fiscal responsibility to Washington,” stated NH GOP chairman Jennifer Horn via press release. “We are excited to welcome Senator Cruz to New Hampshire and hear about his vision for the future of our country.”

The fundraiser is set to be held on August 23rd in Dublin at the home of Ambassador Joseph and Augusta Petrone.

Cruz, a freshman senator elected last year, is said to be mulling a bid for the White House in 2016. Having already visited South Carolina and with an Iowa foray also planned for the near future, the venture into New Hampshire gives further indication of just that.

Already Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul have paid visits this year.
