First NH visit by a 2016 spouse: Kelley Paul in Bedford April 15

The first “stand-alone” New Hampshire visit by a potential First Lady is at hand.

Kelley Paul, wife of Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, has scheduled her own visit to New Hampshire on “tax day,” April 15. By then, her husband is expected to be an announced presidential candidate. He has scheduled a major announcement for April 7 in Louisville, Ky.

Kelley Paul will appear at a 2 p.m. “Tax Day Tea and Book Signing” at the Bedford home of Ann Marie Banfield, a vocal opponent of the Common Core education program who has been involved in the conservative group Cornerstone Action as education liaison. The event is being hosted by the New Hampshire Federation of Republican women.

Paul’s book is entitled “True and Constant Friends,” which is described by the publisher as a celebration of lifelong friends and the female bond. There will also be a discussion of presidential politics at the event.

Rand Paul is expected to visit the state on April 8, the day after he announces for President, and will appear, along with 16 other announced or potential candidates, at NHGOP’s ‘First-in-the-Nation Republican Leadership Summit” in Nashua on April 17 and 18.
