‘Maggie’s Tax of the Day’ #39 targets pistol fees
With just fifteen days to go until the election, Ovide Lamontagne’s campaign is taking ‘full aim,’ if you will, at highlighting the tax hikes that Maggie Hassan backed during her time as a New Hampshire state Senator.
Entry number thirty-nine in the Republican’s ‘Maggie’s Tax of the Day’ series looks at Hassan’s 2009 vote to increase pistol registration fees for non-residents.
“As a part of the 2009 budget, Sen. Hassan voted to increase the fee for non-resident’s to register a firearm by 400% from $20 to $100,” read this morning’s press release. “Yet another tax increase included in Sen. Hassan’s failed 2009 budget, one she continues to say she is proud of despite the dozens of taxes and fees included.”
