Mahoney endorses Ovide for governor
Republican businessman and former RNC Committeeman Sean Mahoney added his name to Ovide Lamonagne’s list of endorsements today, joining other high-profile Granite State GOPers like Jeb Bradley and Tom Thomson.
“I am honored to earn Sean’s endorsement today”, said Lamontagne in a statement released by his campaign, “and I am deeply grateful for his willingness to serve as one of the key leaders on our growing Finance Committee. Sean is a leading voice in our state’s business, non-profit and political communities. He has long been a strong advocate on behalf of small businesses and entrepreneurs, while fighting for lower spending and smaller and smarter state government. Time and again, Sean has highlighted job creators who are the backbone of our state’s economy, encouraging them to grow and develop right here in New Hampshire. This is precisely the kind of pro-growth, pro-job leadership I intend to bring to Concord. I look forward to working with Sean during the campaign, and benefitting from his counsel.”
Mahoney was himself a candidate for office in 2010, coming up short in a primary for the 1st District House seat to eventual winner Frank Guinta.
Commenting on his endorsement, Mahoney said, “I am proud to endorse Ovide Lamontagne for Governor today. We need to elect a Governor who is a trusted conservative and a tested leader. Ovide has excelled as a leader in the public, private and non-profit sectors, and it is this diverse leadership experience coupled with his unwavering conservative principles that make him ideally suited to serve as our next Governor. I know that as Governor, Ovide can get our state moving in the right direction again, and I am looking forward to working with him in the months to come.”
Mahoney is well-known among the NH business community, having served as the owner and President of Millyard Communications in Manchester and the publisher of BusinessNH Magazine.
