NFIB endorses Brown, launches digital, radio ads

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Scott Brown  began a statewide jobs tour in Pembroke on Monday with the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business.

 

NFIB says it is “the nation’s largest small- and independent-business lobby” with about 350,000 business members nationally. The group today is launching a digital ad and a radio spot complimentary of Brown.

 

Both ads feature Garrett Dolan, owner of Seabrook’s Hale Brothers, Inc., who praises Brown and says Sen. Jeanne Shaheen “is just not getting the job done,” in part because she supported the Affordable Care Act. Under the ACA, says Dolan, “for small businesses it’s only gotten worse.” His company manufactures custom made jack chains and ladder sprocket chains.

 

“We want leaders in Washington who will help us do what we do best, create more jobs for our communities,” Dolan says in the radio ad.

 

The NFIB has set up a page devoted to Brown on its “VoteForMainStreet.com” web site. The digital and radio ads are available below.

 

 

NFIB has been supportive of right-to-work legislation.

 

NFIB endorsed Brown at North Country Tractor in Pembroke on Monday morning.

 

Brown’s campaign says that on his “Better Jobs For All” tour, Brown will tour businesses and join roundtable discussions.

 

Shaheen’s campaign said Brown’s jobs tour “is a reminder that in the Senate he voted to protect tax breaks for companies sending jobs overseas but against legislation important to New Hampshire small businesses.”

 

It said NFIB is heavily funded by the  conservative billionaire Koch brothers and has a “well-known” record of “outsourcing American jobs.”
