O’Brien-led conservatives to host Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Walker, Carson

Former New Hampshire House Speaker Bill O’Brien says the House Republican Majority Caucus has lined up five potential presidential candidates so far to address the group in the coming months.

As has been reported, business mogul Donald Trump will kick off the series of meetings Thursday evening at the home of O’Brien friend and ally, Rep. Steve Stepanek, in Amherst.

O’Brien said Wednesday that also confirmed to speak in the future are Sens. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and surgeon Dr. Ben Carson. Dates for those meetings have yet to be finalized, he said.

“Reaching the base of our activists is critical for any presidential candidate,” Stepanek said. “These events will bring our conservative activist base to the candidates in an open, candid forum.”

O’Brien said the series is being held “to give the Republican conservative presidential candidates the exposure they deserve in New Hampshire. These forums will provide the important connection our conservative candidates and primary voters need.”
