RGA launches minisite and TV ad against Hassan

Coming on the heels of a near two-week assault on Democratic gubernatorial nominee Maggie Hassan’s record and rhetoric on tax increases, the Republican Governor’s Association (RGA) has entered the fray with a minisite and TV ad targeting the former state Senator.

“Less than two weeks ago, Maggie Hassan said New Hampshire needs to have ‘a discussion’ about raising taxes – and with Maggie Hassan involved, that promises to be one of the most expensive talks in state history,” said RGA communications director Mike Schrimpf via press release.

The site ridicules Hassan for being voted out of office in 2010 and declares that “now is not the time” for “a promotion.” The 15 second spot, entitled ‘Discussion’, declares that she “believes in high taxes.” Details regarding the scope of the buy were not provided in the RGA’s press release.
