RGA launches new ad against Hassan

The Republican Governors Association (RGA) is up with a new spot targeting Democratic gubernatorial nominee Maggie Hassan.

“Maggie Hassan has a secret. After raising taxes and fees by $300 million the last time she held office, she now wants to increase government spending by hundreds of millions of dollars more if elected governor,” stated RGA spokesman Mike Schrimp in a post on the RGA’s website.

The ad not only blasts Hassan for her record as a New Hampshire state Senator, but for the revelation that she herself doesn’t pay property taxes. It can be viewed below:

  • Hassan for Governor

This is such a dishonest personal attack on Maggie Hassan.
The simple fact is that they do not own the residence. The truth is that Tom
Hassan, Maggie’s husband is required as Principal of Philips Exeter Academy to
reside on campus in a facility owned by the school. The building is used by the
school for a number of school events and activities. Phillips Exeter Academy is
one of the largest property taxes payers in the town of Exeter. And Maggie
Hassan would veto any income or sales tax. She has an innovative plan to help
create jobs and help businesses grow.
Unlike Ovide Lamontagne who wants to pull the state out of Medicare and
repeal the guarantee of kindergarten which would hurt the middle class. Ovide
should call his backers in DC and take down this misleading ad.
