Seacoast Sports Club adds USTPA pro to tennis staff

Today Seacoast Sports Club (SSC) added Howard (Howie) Burnett to its tennis staff ranks at the Great Bay campus.

Burnett possesses over four decades of experience, having served as a United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) teaching professional and as the president of its New England Division from 1989 until 1992. Simultaneously, he has also served on board of directors for the New England Region of the United States Tennis Association (USTA).

Burnett received a dual award as New England Pro of the Year for both the USPTA and USTA in 1989. He has also spent 25 years as Director of Net Advantage LLC, which is a tennis facility and program management company, before becoming Tennis Director at Island Country Club on Marco Island, Florida.

His hiring by SSC will bring him back to Great Bay.

“We are honored to have Howie return to Great Bay,” stated Anthony Sillitta, Executive Director at SSC-Great Bay. “Our members, young and old, will love Howie’s approach to tennis instruction which is based on the laws of physics and common sense.”

Burnett will be available for both private and semi-private lessons.
