USA Mavericks Baseball Club Competes In Cooperstown

The USA Mavericks (AAU) U12 Baseball Club from USA Training Center in Newington, New Hampshire, recently returned home from Cooperstown Dreams Park and American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame Invitational tournament in Cooperstown, New York.

The National American Tournament of Champions showcase week selected 102 teams from across the United States to play the week-long tournament. The Mavericks competed against teams from Illinois, California, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts and ended with a 6-2 record, ranking the team 18 of 102 teams. All teams participated in the “King of Swat”, “Road Runner”, “Golden Arm”, and “Around the Horn Plus” skills competition. Following the tournament, each of the players were enshrined in the prestigious American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame

The team includes Austin Santos of Brentwood, CJ Davis of Berwick, Cole Carter from Dover, Jake Randolph from Stratham, Joseph Stark, of Newfields, Drew Glover and Keagan Calero from Rochester, Josh Saurman, Kobie Taylor, Kyle Maurice and David Feals from Portsmouth, Max Malila of Rye, and Bryce Dawson of Exeter. The team is coached by Kike Calero, Derek Malila, and Matt Carter.
